Recently, both Waitrose and Sainsbury’s have opened which have been well received by residents and raised the areas profile. The area itself is steeped in history and nearby Nonsuch Park features in many historical documents.

The country's largest junior tennis centre at Rose Hill offers unrivalled training facilities with 11 indoor and 18 outdoor courts. Oaks Park & Horton Park Golf Clubs are close by with each offering both a challenging 18, and also 9 hole practice courses.
Numerous parks and green spaces are located within the borough to include, of which one of the closest and most interesting being the beautiful and picturesque, Nonsuch Park steeped in history and closely linked to Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn which is a short drive away located further along London Road, Cheam.
Many of the Boroughs fine education establishments frequently feature high on government OFSTED reports, which draw many buyers with young families to the area. In excess of 25 schools are within the Borough providing a wide range of choice from traditional Grammar schools to Sports Academies. Further education is available at Kingston University, located a short drive away on the A3.
