Stonecot Hill is located between Morden town centre, North Cheam and on the fringes of Sutton and The London Borough of Merton. Stonecot Hill also benefits from The Sutton Life Centre, located in Sutton Common Road. It is designed to improve life chances for younger people and encourage good citizenship. It offers a world class teaching facility which provides innovative tours and experiences for year 6 and year 8 pupils, plus local community facilities including the library, outdoor climbing wall, sports pitch, youth zone and meeting rooms to hire.
The area is well served by busses offering connections to all parts of the borough and Morden tube station. Sutton Common train station is also nearby and there are various quality schools including Glenthorne High School, Brookfield Primary School, Aragon Primary, Cheam Park Farm Junior School, Hatfield school, Cheam Park Farm Nursery and infant's school. There are 60 acres of open parkland at Morden Park which includes recreational facilities such as a cricket field and swimming baths.
All in all a desirable locality that is largely residential, boasting its own community of over 70 shops and premises mostly privately owned and run. Many customers are on first name terms with the proprietors: when did you last get that in your high street?
