City home owners are moving out to leafy Surrey

House prices in Central London are soaring, pushing out second-step homeowners from the capital, the leafy suburbs of Surrey are becoming more and more alluring as they offer great value for money, easy commuting, fantastic schools and fulfill the dream of many young families of living in the country.

Surrey’s schools are also rated within the top state schools in England by Ofsted, and have achieved some of the best results in 2011. In a new survey conducted by Lloyds TSB found that parents are parting with 34,000 extra to secure a home within school catchment areas.

Many home owners planning a second move are seriously considering the pros and cons of moving out of the City to a property in the home counties, as they are seeing it as an opportunity to move to larger properties.
