Change – Market Comment from our Estate Agency Director

October 2nd 2014
By: Jon

As summer is now very much behind us we all have to accept the fact that the seasons are changing …..colder mornings, darker nights and mornings, are all changes that we can recognise and all have to adjust to.

But what if the market is changing and no one wants to acknowledge the signs of a changing market?  How can we all spot the signs?  Well there are definitely more properties coming onto the market, prices are being reduced and generally there are less people now looking.  All of a sudden the market has changed and the asking price has now become the critical part to generate a successful sale.  Get the price right and you will sell, get the price wrong and you will just feel that the market has gone into hibernation.

If you feel that your property has been, shall we say, rather slow with viewings, then maybe it’s time you changed agents to get yourself sold.

Unless you have the activity of people viewing your home, the sale will just not happen. The market is still alive and well but you need to make changes to make sure it works for you. Don’t forget if you are having to accept a lesser figure for the sale of your property you can expect to pay a lesser figure for your onward purchase. We are always prepared for a changing market and can guide you through the highs and lows of a typical sale with honest straight forward advice.
