We are now a couple of weeks into the summer holidays, so we have decided to put together a list of things and places you can go to this summer in Surrey with your children:

Birds World and Gardens

Set in 26 acres of park, it’s a great way to spend a fun family day out, there is plenty to see and things for do for all ages including an aquarium and Forest Lodge garden centre, as well as feeding time and outdoor flying displays.

You can also take along your own picnic or eat in their canteen, where they have an offer of two meals for £10 at the moment. Prices start at £11.95 per child if you buy tickets on-line, and the park is open from 10-6 every day, and last entry is one hour before closing. To find out more about Birds World, why not visit their website @http://www.birdworld.co.uk

Bocketts Farm

If you fancy a family day out at the farm, then why not visit Bocketts Farm (as featured in the photograph), this is a working family farm set in the heart of the Surrey Countryside.

There is a play area and animals both inside and out (so perfect for those rainy days). There are plenty of things to do including a pig race, pony, and tractor and trailer rides, cuddle time with the rabbits, as well as baby animals including lambs, kids, piglets and chicks, depending on the time of the year.

There are also trampolines, giant slides, a bouncy pillow, 2 large indoor play barns and outdoor adventure trails, plus homemade food available in their restaurant. Prices are from £7.80 for a child 2-3 years, £9.60 for 3-17 years, free for under 2’s and £9.00 for adults, and they are open from 10-5.30 daily throughout the school holidays. To find out more information please visit their website @http://www.bockettsfarm.co.uk

Go Ape at Alice Holt Forest

This hire wire adventure venue has recently opened a new tree Top Junior course with 5 new rings, which they state finishes with a thrilling high zip wire.  There is something for the whole family, from an adventure playground, to bike trails where you can ride around the forest to having your very own high wire adventure.

They don’t specify what time they close on their website, but they do open from 8.00am. The zip wire is priced at £24 for children between 10-17 year of age or over 1.4m and £32 for 18+. Plus if you do want to use some of the forest trails parking charges can be anything from £1-£7. You can either take a picnic or eat in the local pub, where you can get 15% off with your tree top pass for various meals throughout the day.  To plan your day out then visit their website @http://goape.co.uk/days-out/alice-holt
