English vineyard Denbies brings home gold…

English wines are getting somewhat of an exceptional reputation around the world and they are rivaling some of the best wines produced across the channel.
Among one of the largest UK wine growers is Surrey based Denbies in Leatherhead, near Dorking Surrey. The Denbies’ family planted their vineyards in 1986 and since then has been selling wines internationally, and have won several International awards for their sparkling wine production, the first ever gold for an English rose wine and most recently an international gold for Denbies Noble Harvest Dessert wine.
They have 265 acres of wine within their 627 acres estate, which is situated on the North Downs, with its famous soil.
At their Surrey based Vineyard Denbies sell a variety of wine including red, white, rosé and sparkling.
They also offer various types of wine tasting tours including the Classic wine tasting experience, Sparkling Wine Taste experience and the Wine and Food tasting experience.
‘Classic Wine Tasting Experience includes:
360° ‘Virtual vineyard tour’ The tour starts in the unique circular cinema with the 20 minute surround vision film, Learn about the geology and history of the estate. Experience the changes in the vineyard through the seasons and appreciate the wine making process from vine to bottle.
Winery Walking tour Passing through the working winery with a full commentary from Denbies Wine Tour Guide you will see the equipment used in todays wine production. With particular emphasis on the sparkling wine disgorging line installed in 2013.
Cellar Tastingtour The journey ends in the atmospheric Denbies cellars where you will be guided through three of Denbies classic wines.
