Focus on Shared Ownership

Stephen Munroe – New Homes Assistant Manager – is based in our Land and New homes department and is a specialist in the area of affordable housing, ensuring Housing Association clients receive the best possible service.  The team includes Kismet who has joined the department as part of an apprenticeship scheme.

Goodfellows can help you buy a property with the Shared Ownership buying process – whether it is part of a new build scheme or indeed a pre-owned home.  Shared Ownership is a government-funded scheme designed to help people get on the property ladder.  It enables the buyer to purchase a share (usually between 25% and 75%) of the property, and pay the Housing Association rent on the remainder, at a level below the market value.  Our advisors can help work out what the buyer can afford so they are not overstretched financially.  Properties are available from 1 bedroom flats to 4 bedroom houses.  There are also a number of resales each year, homes which are owned through the shared ownership scheme, and are then being sold so their owners can move on to full ownership.

Goodfellows have a long standing relationship with many Housing Associations that provide affordable homes throughout London and the South East, including Mount Green, Wandle Housing and our newest partner, Raven House.  This new partnership widens our net to include West Sussex.  The first number of properties have been confirmed in Burgess Hill.

Our advisors can help work out what buyers can afford so they are not overstretched financially.  A wide range of properties are available in Surrey, South West London and now West Sussex, from 1 bedroom flats to 4 bedroom houses.  There are also a number of resales each year, homes which are owned through the shared ownership scheme, and are then being sold so their owners can move on to full ownership.
