Macmillan coffee morning 2017

Cheam Village was visited by Zoe Penny from Macmillan Cancer Support to collect the final donations raised at the branch’s recent coffee morning. We learned from her that the money will go directly to the ongoing Macmillan programme at St George's Hospital to improve the care and facilities for cancer patients, specifically the new Acute Oncology Day Unit. This unit will allow those suffering with problems associated with their cancers to be seen as day patients, thereby reducing the stress of attending A&E and being admitted to hospital for treatment. Thank you to all involved for helping us in supporting such a worthy cause.
