Out and about in Surrey – visit some beautiful gardens this winter…

There are some beautiful gardens open throughout the winter months, and if we get a fine day they can still be truly spectacular, so we have created a list of the best gardens to visit in winter across Surrey:
Wisley is a great place to visit at any time of year, sharp winter frosts give the whole place a sharp elegance.  From the 18th of January it is possible to visit butterflies in the glass house, and the David Watkinson sculpture exhibition is currently on display. Painshill Park have a number of events on throughout the winter months, whether you fancy a winter walk around their beautiful grounds or participating in a watercolour day or visiting their grotto, they have plenty of activities on offer.
From January the 13-27 January every Monday they offer half price entry. This Saturday, 18th January you can learn how to capture the beauty of the winter trees at Painshill with this one day watercolour workshop. Suitable for people with little or no art experience. Savill Garden host one of Briton’s greatest ornamental gardens, with over 35 of acres of contemporary classically designed gardens and exotic woodland. For more information visit their website.
Kew Gardens is a great places to visit even on a cold, winters day as you can  explore their glasshouses, galleries and museums. The gardens open every day from  9:30am and close at 4.15pm. Last entry is at 3.45pm. For more information visit their website.
