Yearly rental demand increase

September 18th 2014

Demand for rental properties has increased over the last 12 months with rents in London increasing by 6% to £1515 per calendar month.   Historically a rising rental market has been associated with weaker buyer demand when more households choose renting over home ownership.  But a number of house price indices suggest that whilst the property market is cooling, demand is still strong which indicates there is a shortage of properties available for both rental and purchase.   In order to increase your monthly income rental, consider providing high quality furnished properties. These can achieve up to a third more in rent in more affluent urban locations.  For personal advice about your property, please give our lettings negotiators a call on 020 8687 0077.
