Jim Parks, Creative Director of the Guildford Book Festival says “This autumn Guildford Book Festival is delighted to host many of the nation’s most incredible authors, journalists and opinion leaders.”

More than 50 authors and writers will be coming to Surrey between the 12–19 October 2014 to speak at this year's book festival with a wide range of works being presented and discussed. From autobiographies and novels to guide books and workshops, there is something for everyone at this year's event. Loads of talks take place all around town. If you wanted to do some preparation reading the following are 10 book previous written by authors appearing at this year's festival .
