Some recent research suggests that one in in 10 adults in the UK have a second property. Many of these properties are brought by buy-to-let landlords. The Resolution Foundation who conducted the research found that about 5.2 million owned an additional property between 2012 and 2014.
Our recent Valentine’s posting asking why people chose their current property only reaffirmed the importance of location. Indeed location won by a mile. Of course the mantra "location, location, location", immortalised by Kirstie Allsopp and Phil Spencer, still holds true. Location really is the most important consideration when buying a property.
