Happy Chinese New Year

The year of the Rooster - if you were born in 2005 or 1993, 1981, 1969, 1957, 1945,  or 1933 you are a rooster and this is your year!

Now for the bad news, that doesn't necessarily mean you are going to have everything your own way, in fact, when it is your year that is believed to be the most unlucky in the 12 year cycle which on the plus side is the good news for all us monkeys, rabbits and snakes.

The rooster is famous for being hard-working, observant, resourceful, courageous and talented.

However, this is not just the year of the rooster, it is the year of the Fire Rooster, as opposed to wood, earth, gold or water, created especially for those who are good at their jobs.

For everyone, the year takes on some of the characteristics of the rooster, including, apparently a well-developed disposition for love and seduction, which I am sure we can all use a bit of!

Celebrations kick off in London at 10am on Sunday 29th January, 2017, when the lion dance teams gather in Trafalgar Square before moving up towards China Town. Restaurants will be serving great selections of delicacies pulling out all of the stops with special menus. All in all it is going to be a great party.
