There’s only a week until Christmas so we have put together some money saving tips:
• Plan and stick to a budget – create a list of who you are buying for and how much you are going to spend. By setting either a £5 or £10 limit on gifts, you, your friends and family can save money.

• Create your own presents, one idea is to make your own jams or bottles of flavoured oils with chilli or raspberry vinegar, these make great gifts.

• Buy some books – try this book comparison site as they will be able to give you the cheapest place to buy your books @www.find-book.co.uk

• The best gifts are free – you could offer some free tickets for a TV programme or show, just go to www.bbc.co.uk/tickets to apply.

• Buy a subscription to a magazine, you can get up to 45% off subscriptions on this site www.greatmagazines.co.uk.

• Create an on-line calendar, these are relatively cheap and make a lovely present for the family.
• Make your own Christmas hampers, buy an inexpensive hamper or box and decorate it and fill it with food items for Christmas.
