If you fancy doing something a bit creative with the kids this weekend, then why not have a go at dyeing some eggs, it's really easy and effective and once you have decorated them you can either use them in an Easter egg hunt or decorate your home with them.

12 white eggs
1 tablespoon of white vinegar
½ teaspoon of food colouring

1)   Boil your eggs in hot water for 10 minutes.

2)   Then set your eggs aside to cool, removing them from the water with a slotted spoon.

3)   Add your vinegar and food colouring of choice to a bowl - if you would like to make the colour darker then just add a few more drops.

4)   Dip each egg into the dye and turn until completely covered, remove and leave to dry.

5)   Once your eggs are dry you can decorate with pens, stickers, glitter, ribbons, anything you have to hand.
