Whatever the situation with the market, the economy or buyers, Goodfellows are able to help.  Before the rererendum, our Carshalton Beeches office had agreed a sale on a property and was almost at the point of exchange.  Unfortunately the buyer was spooked by Brexit and despite reassurances from Vince, the Manager, decided to pull out of the purchase.  The property was instantly remarketed and more interest was generated, which resulted in them receiving higher offers than before.  Combine this, with information and advice from our financial advisors, meant that the prospective purchaser was able to borrow at a more competitive rate than they previously thought.  The sale then proceeded with a very happy vendor and buyer.

Financial news from PwC indicates that the slowdown in house price growth during the summer months is in line with usual summer activity as people go on holiday and have time off with their children.  PwC believes that overall house prices will grow 3% this year and 1% next year, with prices picking up by 4% in 2018.
