The perfect Valentines at home…

If you are planning on having a romantic Valentine’s day at home, then there are plenty of ways in which you can have a good time without going into the red:

Create a meal for two from the comfort of your bedroom - set up a table for two and light candles, keeping the food simple, such as steak and chips with a nice luxurious pudding.

Then give your spouse a massage and watch a romantic film.

Give your partner a dozen roses and on each stem add a note with a romantic promise, a night out at the theatre and so forth.

Order a take-away or buy a meal for two from your supermarket and have a picnic on the floor.  If you have a fire then you could set up your meal in front of the fire, add some romantic music, read a nice poem, perfect.

Hide some heart sweets in your partner’s clothes, shoes, and so forth, so that he can find them throughout Saturday.

Make a special Valentine’s breakfast in bed, with some nice flowers and some nice chocolates. You can also buy heart shaped egg moulds from around £3 plus postage from several websites.

Write down different types of kisses on small pieces of paper, fold them over and add them to a red bowl or bag, then ask your partner to open up the pieces of paper, and each time he opens one give him the type of kiss that is marked on the note.

Create a spa night, fill up your bath with some nice essential oils. The smell of rose is very seductive, just add 3 or 4 drops to your bath. Jasmine is also very alluring. Neroli also appeals to both men and women and can be used as a stimulant.
